Rob Wadsworth, BA (Hons), PGCert, MIED

Rob is a founding Director of S4W and has extensive practical experience and a wealth of knowledge in local government, economic development, project management and research/evaluation. Rob has managed a broad portfolio of projects totalling over £20m of investment and has secured in excess of £250m of investment for our clients. He has expertise in project development, demand and business needs analysis, bid writing and fundraising, capital project management, economic development strategy and social enterprise solutions. Rob is an ERDF specialist and holds a Postgraduate qualification in Urban Regeneration. 


  

Zbig Szulc
Associate Project Manager

Zbig has over 20 years' experience in delivering regeneration activity in local government and in the public sector. As Regeneration Manager at Ashfield District Council, Zbig led the effective delivery of successive SRB programmes, the coordination of Neighbourhood Renewal Fund programmes and the delivery of the Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder Programme. Latterly Zbig spent 6 years as Executive Director of Groundwork Greater Nottingham. In this role he led the development of a number of high profile projects, shaped vision and strategy, delivered stakeholder engagement activity and determined investment decisions and sustainability. Zbig has a significant range of specialist skills and experience including economic development, third sector engagement and facilitation, strategy development and development of partnership working models.


Sue Taylor joined S4W in 2014 our project administrator and research officer. Sue has broad experience across a range of different sectors and has previously owned and managed a thriving manufacturing businesses.  Sue is an experienced researcher and manages a range of face-to-face consultation processes. 
 

Our Key Associates

Claire Baxter is Director of Richmond Baxter Ltd, and an associate of S4W.  Claire has more than 15 years experience working with the public and not-for-profit sectors on public policy, strategic planning, research and evaluation.  Claire’s expertise spans economics, the labour market, finance, devolution and social inclusion agendas.  Her track record tackling complex challenges is down to her ability to analyse and think around issues, influence senior decision makers and build trust across partnerships and communities.  Her professional skills also include engagement and consultation, financial planning and strategic communications.


Alan Woolley is Director of Space4Work Limited and has managed several businesses over the past 25 years in the property, business support and manufacturing sectors.  Alan has considerable experience in business incubation, property management and business mentoring.  Alan manages a portfolio of small business property across the East Midlands and is a trained business coach and mentor.


Brian Holdsworth has over 30 years’ experience in public sector economic development and regeneration in major local authorities including Nottinghamshire, Leeds, Chester and Newcastle upon Tyne followed by over 10 years work as a consultant. Extensive experience of strategy development at regional, sub regional and local authority level. Managed a wide range of projects and programmes including inward investment, business support, enterprise development, workspace and infrastructure provision, training and employment initiatives.


Alan McGowan Alan runs a successful award winning architectural practice and has extensive experience of business centre development and refurbishment. Alan is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Architects.


David Charlton David has extensive management accountancy and financial management experience across a wide range of organsiations from SMEs to PLCs. David has also run a number of successful businesses and provided business mentoring to start-up enterprises.


Stephen Barlow is a Chartered Surveyor and runs a Derbyshire based property consultancy,development and refurbishment. Stephen is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
